THE STORMY VALLEY STORY
Stormy Valley had once been a picturesque town nestled away amidst the rocky cliffs and towering pine and aspen trees. The houses constructed were humble, their lawns neat, even the white-picket fences seemed quaint and idyllic, symbols of a simpler life and time. The dream however didn't last.
Over time the wheels of progress turned and the weather worsened. Constant rock-slides forced the closure of the only road in or out of town.The mountains that once offered a sense of protection from the outside world now served to isolate. Local authorities, tired of the cost of clean-up and repair, instead poured dwindling resources into the construction of an underground railway. The plan was to ensure its residents never be cut off from civilization again. The plan didn't work. Disgruntled, some residents left, regarding it as the start of a city they didn't want. Some still wanted more. But the subway, and its associated unfinished car park left the town in financial ruin. With less and less people to cater for, services were shut down. Not quite a city, and no longer a small town, eventually Stormy Valley came to resemble instead something more like a ghost town.
Now beneath ominous grey skies a new Mayor has arrived. Her plan is to rehouse new families, fill the worn empty streets, and return Stormy Valley to its former glory.
