EMPLOYMENT
Members may find jobs at one of the many establishments around town . It’s an important first step into getting involved and introducing your character to the community. By working a job, you have a great opportunity to play immediately, learn by observation, make friends, and much more.
HOW TO APPLY
It is recommended that you contact the Mayor in-world for MOST job vacancies, at least until managers become more readily available. If you are applying for a position in the Sheriff's Department, obviously you would contact the Sheriff in-world. If however you are applying for something more "freelance" (like an exotic dancer or prostitute for example) then you do not need to apply. Just show up to the place you wish to peddle your wares and start working. Please remember to READ the brochure (note-card) for each place of business you wish to work before you start as most places have their own general rules and guidelines to follow. Brochures are located in the Rentals and Information Office.
GET INVOLVED
Don’t just spend your days standing behind a counter waiting for customers to come up and RP with you! Sometimes, it’ll take effort on your part to walk out and try to attract people into the business – perhaps role-play giving out free samples, incentives, or plan group events to lure people to the business.
If you role-play as a police officer for example, you can patrol town streets or businesses to ensure folks are abiding by the general rules. Not everyone that works or lives in Stormy Valley is a clean-cut and honest person, so how you handle or create situations is entirely up to you.

There may be other positions available. If you are interested in the above, or have a suggestion to offer not on the list, please contact the Mayor in-world with a note-card, and explain what position you feel you would be best suited for.
EXPERIENCE
It is not expected you be an expert in the field you choose to work in, but some basic knowledge would be both appreciated and encouraged. By basic knowledge we mean exactly that. Whether you have lived it in real life or you just like to use Google a lot, please be willing and able to bring something to your chosen career as others will be relying on you to enhance their, and in turn your, role-play experience.
