GETTING STARTED

Starting off in any established role-play can be difficult, but it doesn't have to be. In Stormy Valley, unlike many other role-plays, there is no long or complicated back-story to remember. You simply create a character and arrive at the Sim. There are plenty of job opportunities available that have the potential for further role-play. But if you don't want to work, or you already have a job elsewhere, you are still able to wander around and take in the sights and sounds that the town has to offer.

Once you arrive you will find yourself at the train platform. The train is implied as the only means in or out of town, so whatever your character does, this is how they will have "arrived". By passing through the gates you are to abide by the Sim rules (which are basic, and generally commonsense anyway). Several locations around town are decorated with sex-menu animations, but the majority is not. Many furnishings enable you to interact in some small way, whether it's ordering a coffee to "drink" at the cafe or receiving oxygen in the hospital bed, so make sure you explore and click on everything you are able to.

There are limited rentals available for you to live in Stormy Valley. You can choose to live in the 'suburbs' or rent a room at Motel 66, and each have their pros and cons (for more information on renting, refer to the 'Rentals' tab, or visit the Rentals and Information Office in-world). If you have a prim-baby or prim-child and you are an actively renting resident, you are allowed to rez your babies or children at the Daycare center at any time day or night for 'round the clock care (so long as you are online). For now the care is implied only by way of a prim avatar but this may change in the future. With your child taken care of you can work or play, and get to know others in the community.

Simply arrive, read the rules, and start your new life. There really is nothing more to it than that!
