RULES
The main rule that MUST be obeyed here is DO NOT HAVE SEX WITH OR NEAR A PRIM BABY/CHILD. By "near" we mean within direct sight-of. Maintain realism. If you wouldn't have sex in front of a toddler IRL, don't do it here.
The other basic rules are as follows:
⚡ NO child avatars (including but not limited to; Todleedoos, "normal" kids, etc)
⚡ NO Furries, Neko, Petites, Vampires, Lycans or non-human
⚡ NO Gor or Period dress (or anything not contemporary)
⚡ NO particle emitters or walkers/"poofers" (as these often create lag)
⚡ NO breedable pets
⚡ NO TVs or media viewers that require deeding to work
⚡ NO griefing, spamming, etc etc...
⚡ YES sex is allowed so long as it is discreet and in context
⚡ YES rape is allowed so long as it is discreet and in context
⚡ YES violence is allowed so long as it is discreet and in context
NO storyline that involves overthrowing the Mayor or taking complete control of the town is allowed. Your character may ATTEMPT bribery/coercion/force etc, but as with any role-play, you cannot Powergame or Metagame complete control (the Mayor pays rental tier for the land IRL, you do not).
Those that do not abide by the rules could see themselves ejected, banned, and reported. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for troublemakers.

PRIM BABIES AND PRIM CHILDREN
Prim babies and prim children are allowed on this parcel (only if you are an actively renting resident of Stormy Valley). As such, it needs to be stressed that:
NO SEXUAL ACTIVITIES, NOR FULL OR INDECENT NUDITY IS ALLOWED WHEN A PRIM BABY OR PRIM CHILD IS NEARBY. NO SEXUAL ACTS WILL BE PERFORMED ON OR WITH A PRIM BABY OR PRIM CHILD. NO POSTING OF SEXUALLY SUGGESTIVE IMAGES (WHETHER OF PRIM CHILDREN OR REAL) IS ALLOWED. ANY OF THE ABOVE IS IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF LL TERMS OF SERVICE AND MAY SEE YOUR ACCOUNT BEING DELETED AND CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING BROUGHT AGAINST YOU. SIMPLY PUT - LEAVE THE PRIM KIDS ALONE!
At present, the types of prim babies/prim children catered for on this parcel are Zooby babies and Funsies. Others MAY be accommodated for later if need arises.
SEX, NUDITY AND VIOLENCE
Yes, sex is very much allowed, but this parcel was not created to be just another random sex sim. Everyday life is played out here.
Sex IS allowed.
Rape IS allowed.
Nudity IS allowed.
Violence IS allowed.
For all the above be realistic and BE DISCREET! What you choose to do in your own rental property is up to you (so long as it doesn't involve breaking LL ToS).
The only place where sex and nudity is fully encouraged is inside Club Red (above the Thunder Bar). The only place where sex is NEVER ALLOWED is the Daycare center, and these should be for obvious reasons.
RENTALS AND INFORMATION
Above the Subway, located on ground level, you will find the Rentals and Information Office. Inside you will find what rentals are available, as well as access to the many brochures of local attractions. Touching the brochure rack will give you a menu to select an information card about a certain place. It will list what items dispense props, trigger sounds, are animated/scripted, or what other rules may apply for that specific area.
RENTALS - SUBURBIA AND URBAN
There are perks available only to actively renting residents of Stormy Valley. Only renting residents may rez their vehicles on the roads and park in the underground car park; make use of the Baby Daycare facility; and use the Community Hall for functions with free prims with which to decorate (subject to availability).
Available rentals are limited; 6 suburban houses and 6 Motel rooms. Each have their advantages and disadvantages. It is also important to note that due to the weather system in place that use of a TV or media player that requires deeding to land/group to use is NOT recommended for ANY of these rentals and will not work!
The suburbs are built with families in mind. The houses are almost all identical and have seen better days. They are also partially furnished with animated kitchen and bathrooms and on/off lights. This allows you to spend your prims on making your house more a home with the 100 prims available to you. Prim children can live with you in your home (but you can always store them in your inventory when offline to save on prims), and you can make use of the Baby Daycare center anytime you are online. Please see the brochure regarding the Daycare center for more information.
Motel rooms offer less prims (25) but they also come fully furnished. Almost everything in the rooms have a sex-menu. As such, prim babies and prim children are NOT allowed in Motel rooms. Rentals here can be either per night (anywhere from 1 minute up to 24 RL hours) or per week (7 RL days). Use of the Motel Rooms is NOT free. It is suggested that if you wish to have a family that you relocate to a suburban house or wait until one becomes available. If you already have prim kids and wish to rent a Motel room, the prim kids cannot live with you until you move (and you should probably leave them in your inventory until then). You also cannot leave them in the Daycare center 24/7. The same rules apply as above.
Extra prims MAY be purchased subject to availability.
WEATHER
It rains a LOT in Stormy Valley and storms, predictably, are commonplace. The weather system (Ultimate Weather) in use on this parcel does NOT rez particles, but uses animated textures instead. This means that there should be little to no lag due to it. Some places will have rain "falling" inside. Though I have done my best to ensure the rain stays outside of buildings, if you see rain indoors and it bothers you please contact staff listed at the bottom of this notecard so it can be fixed.
Again, due to this weather system, use of TVs or Media Viewers that require to be deeded to land/group will not work on this parcel, sorry.
THE LAW
Stormy Valley is regularly patrolled by Sheriff John Rosenberg and his officers. They are here not only to enforce the rules, but also to punish those caught breaking the law. How they met out justice is up to the discretion of the Sheriff. Sometimes you may be ordered to do Community Service, and sometimes service the- well, break the law and find out for yourself!
Stormy Valley aims to bring offenders who are "caught in the act" to justice, whatever that may be. This means that while you are free to attack another resident or visitor, beware! The aim is to bring reality back to criminal activities within role-play. There's no fun to beating and raping if you know you will always get away with it! A police presence ensures that while crime can and will still happen, you will have to put more thought into your crimes, be sly and cunning, and generally give both victim and perpetrator (and law officer) a more enjoyable, well-rounded experience.
Please note that no police officer is allowed to track anyone via the wold map or mini-map functions in-world. They will see you only if they are in your area and in their realistic field of vision (that means, not through walls etc), just as no attacker/victim should cheat by using the maps.
KNOWN ISSUES
TEXTURES CLASH/DISAPPEAR
There are texture/alpha clashes in places around the town that as yet cannot be fixed. This is particularly noticeable where parts of trees disappear against the stormy sky. It is an SL bug and one that I have yet to find a suitable solution for. For now I suggest moving your camera angle, especially if you are taking photos. Experiment and see what works best.
DOORS THAT WON'T OPEN
When it rains, in some places you may have difficulty opening doors. This is especially true in front of the Rentals and Information office. This is due to the rain "blocking" the door. The solution is to zoom close to the door (past the rain) and touching it to open. The rain is a textured object; though you can walk through it, sometimes you may have to move past it in order to access things on the other side.
TRANSPARENT WALLS
The walls of the Motel, as the windows of the Cafe, and the windows and doors of the stores, will at times seem to disappear or let things "bleed" through them. This is because the walls and windows, like the rain, are textured and partially transparent objects and not solid. This is normal. Just like the alpha clashes of tree/sky and windows, just move your camera around and they will seem to "fix" right again.
CAN'T ACCESS SEX-MENU AT GRAVES
The animated mist in the graveyard makes it difficult at times to access the sex-menus at the graves and headstones. Move your camera close (using your camera orbit and focus to zoom right in) to the object and right-clicking the item instead of touching (or left-clicking) to access.
