VENDORS
Big V, or the local Vendors Store, is the only shop in town that "sells" items for real Linden. You can purchase items by touching the poster on the wall and select 'Pay' or 'Buy'. For a majority of advertisements you will not receive this option, only a note card with the address to the sales page on the Marketplace online. Where possible, vendors will be used. If you see something that you feel contributes to life in Stormy Valley in some way, then you can suggest it. See below for details.
How do I suggest a vendor?
While in-world, simply create a new note card with the information you wish to share on it and while holding down CTRL on your keyboard, drag it from your inventory and drop it on this suggestions box. The suggestion box will highlight red if done correctly. Alternatively, you can contact the Mayor.
How do I place my own vendors?
You don't. The purpose of the vendors isn't to showcase everything you like at the moment on Marketplace. Everything that is shown has to have some bearing on life in the town, even in some small way. If you are a creator looking to advertise, again contact the Mayor in-world.
How do I purchase from a vendor here?
As most are not "real" vendors, just links to ads on the MP. As such, you'll need to touch the ad and get the note card it gives you. If you wish to buy from an actual vendor, just touch and select from the menu.
What do I do with the note card?
Open the note card and copy/paste the information into the address bar of your search engine. This will take you straight to the advertisement on the Marketplace (provided you are logged in and have the appropriate maturity levels).
Do I have to be an actively renting resident to suggest something for sale?
No, anyone, including visitors, are allowed to make suggestions. They might not all be accepted, but so long as we think it's beneficial, and we have the room (and permission if needed), it will be added.
I see something offensive for sale. Who do I talk to?
Generally speaking, in Adult Rated land most things are acceptable. If however you do see an advertisement that you think breaches the ToS or you find morally repugnant in some way, contact the Mayor and argue your case. Remember that items for sale have to be of some use to local residents to enhance their role-play experience, and this can include the forced sex or abuse of women and men (but never children). As space is limited the instance of finding something offensive on display should be fairly remote.
One more thing to note:
Please don't suggest sex huds - there are so many, and frankly, so similar that those that need one can go find it themselves. Same can be said for genitalia. Use your imagination. Thanks.
